A life with bees<\/h2>\n

Bees are indispensable helpers for us humans and for nature. Through their tireless flying activities, they ensure the pollination of many plants, which directly guarantees our food supply. We can support them by creating important habitats and food sources - and experience joy in the process.<\/p>\n

Bees are crucial for the ecological balance and our existence because they pollinate many plants. Around 75 % of the world's food crops depend on bees. Without them, many plants would not grow, which would severely limit food sources for humans and animals.<\/p>\n

Why bees are so important<\/h2>\n

Bees are indispensable for the pollination of crops and wild plants and thus ensure biodiversity, nutrition and stable ecosystems. They help to ensure that many plants bear fruit in the first place - a process on which numerous other animal species also depend. Their pollination service also has great economic value: according to the FAO, the global benefit amounts to up to 577 billion US dollars per year.<\/p>\n

In addition to their ecological and economic importance, bees produce honey - a natural and versatile foodstuff. However, the decline in bee colonies due to pesticides, habitat loss, diseases and climate change poses a serious threat.<\/p>\n
