What is the European HIV and Hepatitis Testing Week?<\/h1>\n

From the 17 to 24 November 2025<\/strong>\u00a0the European HIV and Hepatitis Testing Week is taking place again. This week is an initiative that has been organised annually since 2013 to raise awareness of HIV and hepatitis B and C and to encourage people to get tested. Numerous organisations and institutions in over 50 European countries join this campaign to put the issue on the public agenda.<\/p>\n

Why is testing so important?<\/strong> HIV and hepatitis are infections that often remain undetected for a long time because they cause few or no symptoms in the early stages. However, an early test helps to recognise an infection in good time and initiate appropriate treatment. This not only protects the health of the person affected, but also prevents the virus from spreading.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What does HIV and hepatitis testing week mean for our pharmacy?<\/h2>\n

As a pharmacy, we want to promote the health of our customers and facilitate access to important health services. We use the European HIV and Hepatitis Testing Week to provide information about risks and prevention and to motivate people to take part in free tests. With information materials and personal discussions, we want to break down inhibitions and show how simple and important a test can be.<\/p>\n

We work closely with the Aids Help Vienna<\/strong><\/a> which has been offering reliable and discreet tests for HIV and hepatitis for years. The test week is a good opportunity to get advice and clear up any uncertainties.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Free HIV and hepatitis C rapid tests in the Johann Strauss pharmacy<\/h2>\n

To make it even easier for you to access tests, during the test week in the period from 17 to 21 November 2025<\/strong> Free HIV and hepatitis C rapid tests<\/strong> on. You will receive a test result in just a few minutes. In the event of a reactive test result, further clarification is carried out by a cooperating doctor to enable further diagnostics and, if necessary, treatment. Take the opportunity to get tested - for your own safety and that of others around you.<\/p>\n

Why take an HIV or hepatitis test?<\/h3>\n

A test is the first step towards gaining certainty and - if necessary - taking action in good time. Both HIV and hepatitis are easily treatable if diagnosed early, and a negative test means you can be sure that you are not infected. Take this opportunity to protect yourself and your loved ones.
