Johann Strauss anniversary year 2025<\/h2>\n

2025 is all about Johann Strauss Junior: Vienna is celebrating 200 years with an extraordinary anniversary programme. From January to December, there will be weekly premieres in ten genres - from classical music to modern interpretations. The events will take place in all 23 districts, including at unusual locations such as the Central Cemetery, the Danube Island Festival and the Himmel viewpoint.<\/p>\n

Major Viennese orchestras and contemporary artists honour Strauss in a variety of ways. The programme shows how alive his legacy is and makes Vienna a global music hub in 2025.
