Johann Strauss Junior - The son of a musical genius
Johann Strauss Junior, the famous „Waltz King“, was born as the son of Johann Strauss„ father, a celebrated composer of his time. Although music ran in the family, his father wanted him to pursue a “down-to-earth" career - preferably in pharmacy or a similar profession. But Johann Strauss Junior had other plans. Like our Mr Wendl, a visionary with an unshakeable view of the future, Strauss Junior also sensed that he was destined for something greater. Against his father's wishes, he began to play the violin and compose his own music.

The revolution of the Viennese waltz
Johann Strauss Junior followed his passion and conquered the music world with his unique talent. His father was a pioneer of dance music, but Strauss Junior took the waltz to a whole new level. With melodies such as the world-famous „Donauwalzer“ and the lively „Künstlerleben“, he created works that made Vienna the centre of dance music and radiated far beyond the city. His compositions filled dance halls and concert halls alike and immersed people in a world of elegance and lightness.
He was also a virtuoso on the violin - just like our Mr Wendl. Strauss Junior showed that you can not only dream visions, but also realise them if you are brave enough to trust your instincts. His ability to combine tradition and innovation made him a pioneer of his time. With a flair for the audience and unwavering creativity, he wrote music that is now considered the epitome of Viennese joie de vivre. His success proved that genuine passion has the power to set new standards.
